COVID-19 Asymptomatic Testing Requirements

Academic Appointees, Staff, and Students: NOT Fully Boosted - Not Up to Date

  • Academic appointees, staff, and students

    • One COVID-19 test per week

Academic Appointees, Staff, and Students: Fully Boosted - Up to Date

  • Lot Quality Asymptomatic (LQA) screening will be required for up-to-date individuals. One COVID19 test between March 21, 2022 and May 31, 2022 is required.

Testing Hours

Monday May 16, 2022: CLOSED

Tuesday May 17, 2022: 11AM-4:45PM

Wednesday May 18, 2022: 9AM-12PM


Beginning 5/23/2022, the Asymptomatic Testing program will switch to antigen testing. Rapid, antigen tests will be distributed through the Granite Pass Ticket Office and the Classroom and Office Building 1 Ticket Office.

Beginning 6/6/2022, rapid antigen tests will be distributed through Student Health Services front desk for testing participants to pick up during the following business hours:

Monday – Friday

8AM – 4:30PM


The COVID-19 testing program will remain cost-free to UC Merced students and employees through rapid, antigen testing.

  • Employees and students who utilize rapid antigen testing to comply with asymptomatic testing requirements can complete a weekly Self Attestation to remain compliant with the program.
  • Employees who are not Fully Vaccinated may choose to utilize a certified testing laboratory at their own expense, and are required to upload COVID-19 test results to UC Merced’s occupational health portal (Work Health Solutions) to be compliant with the Asymptomatic Screening Program.
