A Message from Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Charles Nies
COVID-19 Message for UC Merced Students

Dear Students,

The health and well-being of our community remain at the center of our decision making. As an important step in protecting the campus and larger community, UC Merced has developed mandatory online training that covers the concepts and resources for mitigating the spread of coronavirus on campus and among our campus community.

All students must complete the course Tuesday, Aug. 25.

The online training is now available for all students. You will be able to access the course via CatCourses. The training takes about half an hour to complete. You can leave the training and return, or explore the contents as needed to ensure you understand the expectations, modifications, and changes made to our campus to keep everyone safe and successful.

The training is required for all students irrespective of whether your job or academic activities are at a campus facility. Because of the requirement, there are consequences for individuals who fail to successfully complete the training.

Thank you. As you Do Your Part, UC Merced will continue to meet our mission of excellence in learning, research and community service. Stay safe and stay #BobcatStrong.

Take care,

Charles Nies, Ph.D
Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs
